Julia marks a minor milestone for Capcom; with 1000 stamina, Julia is one of a select few women in a Street Fighter game not to be given the usual below-the-norm Capcom Girl Tier Stamina. Base comparisons to Yun are surprisingly apt, at least as far as Lashing Arrow and Tiger Strike as a rushing combo. At the moment Rising Kick is a little slow on recovery, comparable to Gen’s Gekirou’s vulnerability to counters, and the low angle leaves something to be desired in its role as Julia’s anti-air.
Having not properly explored Julia I can’t say for certain, but the lack of a good anti-air may be a weakness. Another thing of note is her c.HK being a two hit sweep, Guile-style. Wind Roll serves as her anti-projectile option, with high and low follow-ups. Another thing worth noting is her incredible back dash, covering close to half the screen very quickly to get out of trouble.
