Free Wheeling Kicks
A young man who usually fights with a cool composure, but in reality is a hot-blooded man looking for a good fight. In the past, he was prone to hustling people into street fights, but under the guidance of Baek, he is now fully devoted to his training. Hwoarang enters a mixed martial arts tournament as per Baek’s request, but the tournament ground is reduced to rubble as a war erupts over Pandora. The fired-up Hwoarang forms a temporary alliance with Steve to exact revenge on their attackers.

The second member of the unofficially dubbed Team Divekicks, Hwoarang’s Air Raid has a lot of potential for confusion. From what I could tell, Hwoarang has a limited amount of air control on the way up, leading to some almost Bison Devil Reverse style baiting shenanigans with divekicks on the way down. Overall that particular combination strikes resonance with KOF taekwondo dude Kim Kaphwan. In addition, an incredibly low and fast standing LP lets Hwoarang juggle off the final hit of Hunting Hawk (an overhead that otherwise is a hard knockdown). On top of his long legged reach, the particular penetrative ability of Sky Rocket, and the Special Step wavedash, Hwoarang’s looking like a particularly offensive character.
